Habitat: Mesic prairie at base of steep N-facing slope, surrounded by agricultural land; assoc.: Achillea millefolium, Amorpha canescens, Coreopsis palmata, Dodecatheon meadia, Eryngium yuccifolium, Liatris aspera, Rosa arkansana, Silphium integrifolium, Solidago gigantea, & Sporobolus heterolepis.
Occurrence Remarks: Of the1.8 acres only 1.0 acre is good prairie; the western end (0.8 acre) is all small trees and brush.; Rare; a single clump of 8 stems 13.9--14.6 dm tall; corolla color between pink and magenta.
