Habitat: Upland Forest on the E side of the Brule River and just W of Len Root Road. Growing in Boreal Forest with Abies balsamea, Acer rubrum, Picea glauca, Populus tremuloides, Aralia nudicaulis, Cornus sericea, Crataegus chrysocarpus, Lonicera canadensis, Ribes lacustre, Salix humilis, Anemone quinquefolia, Antennaria parlini, Carex castanea, C. pedunculata, Erythronium americanum, Luzula acuminata, Mitchella repens, Trientalis borealis, Viola labradorica, etc.
Occurrence Remarks: Analysis of the Vegetative Cover of the Brule River Watershed, Revisited 2015-2018. Two to three meter tall shrub.
