Growing in Boreal Forest with Abies balsamea, Acer rubrum, Picea glauca, Populus tremuloides, Aralia nudicaulis, Cornus sericea, Crataegus chrysocarpus, Lonicera canadensis, Ribes lacustre, Salix humilis, Anemone quinquefolia, Antennaria parlini, Carex castanea, C. pedunculata, Erythronium americanum, Luzula acuminata, Mitchella repens, Trientalis borealis, Viola labradorica, etc.
