Habitat: Floodplain forest of Acer saccharinum, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Betula nigra, & Quercus bicolor, with oxbows, channels (slowly flowing, cut-off & still, intermittent, or permanently dry), & small ponds; semi-open bank of pool with Apios americana, Boehmeria cylindrica, Carex lupulina, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Glyceria canadensis, Elymus virginicus, Mimulus ringens, Physostegia virginiana, Poa palustris, Scutellaria lateriflora, Scirpus atrovirens, & Acer rubrum & Betula nigra seedlings.
