Habitat: Upland Forest on sandy bank on the E side of the Brule River and W of Len Root Road. Growing in Boreal Forest in upland sandy boreal woods formed on bank of the Brule River with Abies balsamea, Fraxinus nigra, Picea glauca, Populus tremuloides, Corylus cornuta, Lonicera canadensis, Carex pedunculata, Matteuccia struthiopteris, Trillium cernuum, etc.
