Habitat: Open knoll top surrounded by scrubby Pinus banksiana & even scrubbier Prunus serotina trees; soil very sandy, no open ground. Poa compressa & P. pratensis dominants, forming tight turf, w/ Achillea millefolium ssp. lanulosa, Antennaria howellii s.l., A. parlinii s.l., Artemisia campestris-rare, Equisetum arvense, Fragaria virginiana, Hieracium-introd. sp., Hypericum perforatum, Monarda fistulosa, Potentilla argentea, Rosa sp., Rudbeckia hirta-very rare, & Rumex acetosella.
Occurrence Remarks: N side of 2-track lane 0.2 mi. W of 1st Ave., under "w" of Lawrence on Westfield West 15' quad.
