Habitat: Mature Quercus rubra (1 dom.)-Acer saccharum (2 dom.)-Tilia americana (3 dom.) forest with Pinus strobus, Q. alba, & A. rubrum; prevalent seedlings/saplings/shrubs: A. saccharum, A. rubrum, Lonicera canadensis, Corylus cornuta, Dirca palustris; ferns/graminoids/herbs: Adiantum pedatum, Athyrium angustum, Lycopodium lucidulum, Brachyletrum erectum var. septentrionale, Poa alsodes, Carex arctata, Polygonatum pubescens, Uvularia sessilifolia, Trientalis borealis, Conopholis americana, etc.
Occurrence Remarks: In dense patches of a terrestrial moss at the very edge of the mowed grassy weedy lawn, the very narrow habitat a sort of transition zone between lawn and contiguous red oak-sugar maple forest; site well-drained, fairly shady, right behind the Long Dorm.
