Habitat: Dry prairie on steep SW-facing slope, not far below crest of dolomite-capped sandstone ridge. In open Rhus glabra thicket w/ Amorpha canescens, Apocynum cannabinum, Cirsium discolor, Coreopsis palmata, Erigeron annuus, Euphorbia corollata, Helianthus occidentalis, Monarda fistulosa, Physalis virginiana, Poa compressa, & Solidago speciosa.
Occurrence Remarks: Rare: two clumps of ca. 10 stems each. Larger (southern) spine of ridge supporting the southern of the two Battle Hollow prairies.
