Habitat:
Weedy lakeshore thicket dominated by a few large cottonwood (Populus deltoides subsp. monilifera) and small box elder (Acer negundo) trees; soil very sandy. Associated species mostly shrubs: Alnus incana subsp. rugosa, Lonicera Xbella, Parthenocissus sp., and Prunus virginiana.
