Upland Forest on the W side of the Brule River (former picnic area with decaying table still present). Boreal forest along edge of Brule River. Growing with Populus tremuloides, Acer spicatum, Corylus cornuta, Prunus virginiana, Aralia nudicaulis, Rubus parviflorus, Taxus canadensis, Vaccinium myrtilloides, Clintonia borealis, Equisetum arvense, E. sylvaticum, Maianthemum canadense, Matteuccia struthiopteris, etc.
