Habitat:
Low bank above water’s edge, swampy lakeshore in semi-shade of lowest edge of forest & especially Acer saccharum, Alnus incana subsp. rugosa, & Ilex verticillata. Assoc.: Carex stricta, Viola 15657, & moss 15660, also (within 3 to 9 ft) Caltha palustris, Eleocharis erythropoda, Impatiens capensis, Iris sp., Persicaria amphibia var. emersa, Phalaris arundinacea, Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani, Onoclea sensibilis, & Thelypteris palustris var. pubescens.
Occurrence Remarks:
Spores dark grass-green. Abundant in the area.
