Pine Barren in sand prairie with scattered small trees and low shrubs. Growing with Arctostaphylos uva-ursi. Comptonia peregrina, Andropogon gerardii, Danthonia, Helianthemum, Schizachyrium scoparium, etc. Growing in small area of bare exposed sand.
