Habitat: Edge of moist mesic woods. Overstory of large Populus tremuloides, along with Acer rubrum and Quercus rubra. Also with Lonicera canadensis, Vaccinium angustifolium, Aster macrophyllus, and Galium triflorum. A roughly 4 m tall, multistemmed shrub. Flowers white. Fairly common. Tribal Access Permit #79, Bad River Natural Resource Department.
