Habitat:
Upland Forest on the E side of the Brule River and just W of Len Root Road. Growing in Boreal Forest in opening in upland woods formed about a small swale area with Abies balsamea, Acer rubrum. Fraxinus nigra, Populus tremuloides, Quercus rubra (saplings), Aralia nudicaulis, Cornus canadensis, C. sericea, Pteridium aquilinum, Aster macrophyllus, Calamagrostis canadensis, Carex castanea, Fragaria virginiana, Galium triflorum, Maianthemum canadense, Myosotis arvensis, etc.
