Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Douglas, Brule River State Forest located E of Amnicon Falls State Park and N of US SR 2. At bridge crossing on Secondary Rd. FF over Brule River about 1.1 mi W of junction of Secondary Rds. FF & H and about 0.35 mi S of Wisconsin Secondary Rd. FF

Habitat: Upland Forest on the W side of the Brule River (former picnic area with decaying table still present). Boreal forest along bank of Brule River. Growing with Abies balsamae, Thuja occidentalis, Corylus cornuta, Lonicera canadensis, Rubus parviflorus, Equisetum arvense, Anemone quinquefolia, etc.
Occurrence Remarks: Analysis of the Vegetative Cover of the Brule River Watershed, Revisited 2015-2018. Perennial herb with yellow flowers.
