Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Dane, Madison; SE edge of Owen Conservation Park bordering ends of cul-du-sacs (Forsythia Pl. & Elder Pl.) off Bordner Dr., 0.4 mi. S of Old Sauk Rd., 5.0 mi. (airline) W of State Capitol.

Habitat: Trailside, overgrown Quercus alba savanna, growing under a population of Impatiens pallida w/ Circaea lutetiana ssp. canadensis, Geum canadense, Parthenocissus vitacea, Symphyotrichum lateriflorum, & seedlings of Acer negundo, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Rhamnus cathartica, Ulmus americana, & Viburnum opulus var. opulus. Undoubtedly from plants placed in the adjacent greenway by Pamela Fonnell, 5742 Elder Pl. Mills St. (see Cochrane #15514) & Owen Park locations were both discovered by Brian J. Perszyk.
Occurrence Remarks: Spontaneous; self-seeding and spreading as a weed, forming a colony 11 X 1--3 yds. on E side of path and a second smaller population 5 yds. long farther S on W side of same path. According to Perszyk, both have been increasing from year to year. Sheet 1 of 2 sheets.
