Habitat:
Deteriorating mesic prairie in middle of N-facing slope surrounded by agricultural land; in transition zone between good prairie and densely shrubby thicket; assoc.: Andropogon gerardii, Anemone cylindrica, Euphorbia corollata, Geum triflorum, Melilotus alba, Potentilla recta, Ratibida pinnata, Rubus occidentalis, Solidago missouriensis, and Vitis riparia.
Occurrence Remarks:
Climbing to 9 ft. in Prunus serotina sapling. Of the1.8 acres only 1.0 acre is good prairie; the western end (0.8 acre) is all small trees and brush.
