Habitat: Small moist semiopen area in transitional strip of woodland; aspect dominants: Betula papyrifera, Populus grandidentata, and Prunus serotina, with Cornus racemosa, Lonicera Xbella, Rhus glabra, Amphicarpaea bracteata, Geum canadensis, etc.; assoc. for Rosa: Maianthemum racemosum, Potentilla simplex, Prenanthes alba, Rubus idaeus subsp. strigosus, Rumex crispus, Solidago gigantea, Symphyotrichum puniceum, and Ulmus americana.
Occurrence Remarks: Two small shrubs. Along S side of main trail leading from parking lot to foot of recessional moraine, where real forest starts.
