Habitat: Extensive lowland prairie on huge outwash sand terrace along river. Dry-mesic segments dominated by Andropogon scoparius, Sporobolus heterolepis, and Koeleria macrantha (on low swells) grading to wet segments dominated by Andropogon gerardii, Panicum virgatum, and Spartina pectinata (in shallow shales).
