Habitat:
Bank of cold-water streamlet through cool moist Tilia americana-Acer rubrum woods; under Fraxinus nigra-Hamamelis virginiana understory with rich groundlayer of Carex prasina, Cryptotaenia canadensis, Floerkia proserpinacoides, Galium triflorum, Hydrophyllum virginianum, Laportea canadensis, Osmorhiza longistylis, Poa (alsodes?), Sanicula gregaria, Symphoricarpos foetidus, and Symphyotrichum prenanthoides. Very local.
