Bank of spring-fed streamlet through cool moist Tilia americana-Acer rubrum woods with Fraxinus nigra-Hamamelis virginiana understory; in transitional area between narrow swampy edge of stream (with Caltha palustris, Stellaria aquatica, & Symplocarpus foetidus) & lower edge of woods, assoc. with Cryptotaenia canadensis, Floerkia proserpinacoides, Galium triflorum, Hydrophyllum virginianum, Osmorhiza longistylis, Sanicula gregaria, and Symphyotrichum prenanthoides. Rare.
