Habitat: Upland Quercus velutina-Prunus serotina woods w/ a few Acer saccharum trees reaching overstory. Relatively dry depression; Rhamnus frangula dominant, w/ Carex pensylvanica, Cornus racemosa, Dryopteris intermedia, Equisetum arvense, Geum canadense, Maianthemum canadense, Onoclea sensibilis, Osmunda claytoniana, O. regalis var. spectabilis-1 plant, Picea glauca-7 saplings from 3 to 17 ft. tall, Ribes cynosbati, Rubus sp., Smilacina racemosa, Trientalis borealis-rare, & Trillium sp.
Occurrence Remarks: Whole area, lowlands and uplands, thoroughly invaded by small- to medium-sized Rhamnus frangula and all sizes of R. cathartica. 0.3 mi. W of 1st Ave. Sheet 2 of 2 sheets.
