Habitat: Floodplain forest of Acer saccharinum, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Betula nigra, & Quercus bicolor, with oxbows, channels (slowly flowing, cut-off & still, intermittent, or permanently dry), & small ponds; wet sand of bars & edges of very shallow, intermittent channel with Alisma triviale, Boehmeria cylindrica, Leesia oryzoides, Leersia virginica, Lobelia cardinalis, Mimulus ringens, Persicaria punctata, Sparganium cf. americanum, Symphyotrichum lateriflorum, Acer rubrum & Betula nigra seedlings.
Occurrence Remarks: Rare.
