Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Dane, Black Earth Creek, from 400 to 1000 ft. (0.1 to 0.4 km) E of CTH P bridge, parallel to and 80 to 300 ft. S of US. Hwy.14, SE corner of Cross Plains

Habitat: Clear cool flowing water from 9 to 45 in. deep, bottom varying from cobble to gravel and sand but mostly silt. Assoc. with Impatiens capensis all along edges of stream, also more or less with Callitriche stagnalis, Elodea canadensis, Lemna minor, Potamogeton crispus, P. foliosus, Ranunculus longirostris, Stuckenia pectinata, and Zannichellia palustris.
Occurrence Remarks: Extensive colonies all along stretch from N43 06'24", W089 38'22" (E endpoint of Stuckenia population) to N43 06'38", W089 38'43" (W endpoint).
