Habitat:
Floodplain forest of Acer saccharinum, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Betula nigra, & Quercus bicolor, with oxbows, channels (slowly flowing, cut-off & still, intermittent, or permanently dry), & small ponds; semi-open sand flat at edge of shallow pool with Bidens sp. (seedlings), Elymus virginicus, Hypericum boreale, Myosotis laxa, Myosoton aquaticum (seedlings), Persicaria maculosa, P. punctata, Poa palustris, & Acer rubrum seedlings.
Occurrence Remarks:
Cor. tube light yellow, cor. lobes white. Rare.
