Habitat: Quercus macrocarpa savanna on top of NW spur of ridge, long since overgrown and turned into southern dry forest with a mixture of Juniperus virginiana and young deciduous tree spp.: Celtis occidentalis, Prunus serotina, Quercus velutina, Tilia americana, & Ulmus americana. Assoc.: Carex pensylvanica, Dioscorea villosa, Galium triflorum, Geranium maculatum, Parthenocissus inserta, Populus tremuloides sprouts, & Solidago flexicaulis.
Occurrence Remarks: Clumps with 2--10 stems each. Occasional.
