Habitat: Small (surface area=37 acres), shallow (max. depth=19 ft.) very infertile seepage lake; water very clear, acid; bottom sand, gravel, and rock. Moist grassy sand among gravel, lower half of S-facing bank partly in semi-shade of pine woods. Assoc.: Calamagrostis canadensis, Panicum implicatum, Agrostis scabra, Scirpus cyperinus, Rhynchospora capitellata, Juncus effusus, J. pelocarpus, Culichium arundinaceum, Hypericum majus, Lycopus uniflorus, and Solidago graminifolia.
