Habitat:
Extensive lowland prairie on huge outwash sand terrace along river. Dry-mesic segments dominated by Andropogon scoparius, Sporobolus heterolepis, and Koeleria macrantha (on low swells) grading to wet segments dominated by Andropogon gerardii,
Occurrence Remarks:
Artemisia ludoviciana, and Aster ericoides. Deep loose loamy sand on top of riverbank; full sun & light shade in vicinity of a small copse of Acer negundo and Quercus macrocapra trees. Also collector Middleton, W. [Dupl. accession no.- editor added "a"].
