Habitat: Found in almost any bottom conditions, but grows best in sandy to sand/muck bottoms in 0.5-1.5 meters of water. Common assoc.:(Potamogeton pusillus) small pondweed, (Potamogeton friesii) Fries' pondweed, (Potamogeton richardsonii) clasping-leaf pondweed,
Occurrence Remarks: Relatively common, and widely distributed in sandy and rocky areas throughout the lake.
