Habitat:
Muck bottom in 0-4 meters of water. Common assoc.: (Nymphaea odorata) white water lily, (Potamogeton robbinsii) Robbins (fern) pondweed, (Ceratophyllum demersum) coontail, (Potamogeton amplifolius) large-leaf pondweed, (Potamogeton pusillus) small pondweed
Occurrence Remarks:
Common but not abundant throughout the lake; especially in deep areas of the south bays.
