Habitat:
Mucky clay soil, in full sun most of the day. With scattered Typha glauca, Agrostis gigantea, and Aster lateriflorus.
Occurrence Remarks:
Forming very dense, nearly monotypic patches in wet ditch. These in shallow standing water next to culvert. (DUL, UWSP, WIS)
