Habitat:
Stream 40 to 60 ft. wide, water clear and colorless, bottom sand to soft mud or fine organic materials, often densely vegetated. Sparganium (clorocarpum?) and Potamogeton richardsonii often dominant; Potamogeton alpinus, P. alpinus X richardsonii, P. pectinatus, P. epihydrus, P. obtusifolius, Callitriche verna and Nuphar variegatum locally common.
