Habitat: Stream meandering through sedge-grass meadows or alders, often braided, 10-25 ft. wide, 1-3 ft. deep, bottom sand to gravel with boulders, water brown-stained. Sparganium chlorocarpum abundant; Potamogeton alpinus, Callitriche verna, Cardamine pennsylvanica and Fontinalis common.
