Habitat:
On N side of mostly open, abandoned farm field. Moist, fine-textured soil. This side of field dominated by Festuca rubra, with scattered Solidago canadensis. Scattered, stunted Alnus rugosa, Salix bebbiana, and S. petiolaris provide light shade.
