Habitat:
Disturbed sandy, gravely soil. Road cuts across north-facing hill, and bank is apparently seepy. None in natural remnant woods at bottom of ravine. With Fracinus americana seedlings and saplings, Matteuccia struthiopteris, Athyrium filix-femina, Thlypteris phegopteris, and scattered patches of Hemerocallis fulva.
Occurrence Remarks:
Fairly dense patch, extending about 27 m along road and 5 m down steep north-facing roadbank. None in natural remnant woods at bottom of ravine. Flowers yellow. [UWSP141942 & UWSP143258 apparently part of the same collection: S.C. Garske 521 - collection data identical]
