Habitat:
Mesic cedar swamp characterized by white cedar (Thuja occidentalis) and various associates including hemlock (Tsuga canadensis), white spruce (Abies balsamea) [Picea glauca], yellow birch (Betula alleghanensis), and white pine (Pinus strobus). The herb layer is dominated by Canada mayflower (Maianthemum canadense), club mosses (Lycopodium spp.), and Pyrola spp., among others.
