Habitat:
Northern mesic forest-sugar maple (Acer saccharum) dominated woods with basswood (Tilia americana) and ash (Fraxinus) species common throughout the stand. Common associates include: Streptopus roseus, Osmorhiza claytonia. Caulophyllum thalictroides, Maianthemum canadense, Polygonatum pubescens, Botrychium matricariifolium, and B. lanceolatum. Thick leaf layer in many spots and mostly closed canopy. Soils well-drained and moist. Small drumlins in area.
