Habitat: Thick muck soil in and out of water <0.5 meters. Common assoc.: (Dulichium arundinaceum) three-way sedge, (Eleocharis erythropoda) red-footed spikerush, (Sagittaria latifolia) common arrowhead.
Occurrence Remarks: Found in undeveloped shoreline areas throughout; especially on the south shore and bordering the bog in the southwest bay.
