Habitat:
Well-drained, dry-mesic soil. Under light shade of scattered Rhus typhina and sapling Abies balsamea and Ulmus americana. Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Chrysanthemum leucanthemum, Prunella vulgaris, and Cirsium arvense here also.
Occurrence Remarks:
Abundant on steep S-facing bank, and fairly common in adjacent woodlot.
