Habitat: Found in almost any bottom conditions, but grows best in rock/sand bottoms in 0.5-1.5 meters of water. It occurs with other sensitive sp. and forms mixed beds with N. flexilis. Common assoc.: (Potamogeton bicupulatus) filament-leaf pondweed,
Occurrence Remarks: Uncommon but widely distributed throughout north lake. May also be present in main lake. Microscopic analysis of seeds used to confirm sp. id. [Dupl. accession no.- editor added "a"].
