Habitat:
Rocky and sandy bottoms in 0-1 meter of water. Common assoc.: (Eleocharis palustris) creeping spikerush, (Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani) softstem bulrush, (Schoenoplectus pungens) three-square.
Occurrence Remarks:
Common in scattered beds along or on shore in lake; especially exposed points. By far the most common reed on the lake.
