Habitat: Found primarily in sand bottoms in 0.5-1.5 meters of water. Common assoc.: (Chara sp.) muskgrass, (Potamogeton pusillus) small pondweed, (Potamogeton gramineus) variable pondweed, (Vallisneria americana) wild celery.
Occurrence Remarks: Relatively common, and widely distributed throughout the lake.
