Habitat: Rocky to sandy bottoms in 0-2 meters of water. Common assoc.: (Myriophyllum tenellum) dwarf water milfoil, (Juncus pelocarpus) brown-fruited rush, (Ranunculus flammula) creeping spearwort, (Utricularia resupinata) small purple bladderwort.
Occurrence Remarks: Abundant thoughout the lakes where it forms thick mats in shallow water. Emergent form located along shore interspersed among other emergents. [duplicate accession no. of Potamogeton praelongus, 7/5/2007, Walchak, Dan, Menominee Co. - editor added "a"]
