Habitat: On moist, compacted, clay soil of roadbank. Population extends N for several km along highway, and along side roads as well. Assoc. include Agrostis gigantea, Danthonia spicata, Lotus corniculata, Achillea millefolium, Solidago gigantea, S. nemoralis,
Occurrence Remarks: Common. The dominant in field W of highway, turning it golden-yellow. Population first documented in 1996 (Judziewicz 12134, WIS)
