Found in almost any bottom conditions, but grows best in rock/sand bottoms in 0.5-3 meters of water. Common assoc.:(Brasenia schreberi) watershield, (Pontederia cordata) pickerelweed, (Utricularia vulgaris) common bladderwort,
Occurrence Remarks:
Scattered locations in the eastern half of the lake. Becomes abundant in the east bay. Microscopic analysis of seeds used to confirm sp. id.
