Habitat: Thick muck soil in and out of water < 0.5 meters. Common assoc.: (Nymphaea odorata) white water lily, (Phalaris arundinacea) reed canary grass, (Typha latifolia) broad-leaved cattail, (Pontederia cordata) pickerelweed, (Sagittaria latifolia) common arrowhead.
Occurrence Remarks: Located throughout, but especially common at the shoreline around eastern bays and around "Mud Lake".
