Habitat: Occasional on southwest-facing slope in steep rolling topography of pine barrens with larger, scattered Pinus banksiana and generally dominated by Comptonia peregrina. Growing in sandy opening.; Sand.
Associated Species: Oenothera biennis, Andropogon gerardii, Schizachyrium scoparium.
