Habitat: Occasional in open sand prairie/oak barrens. Scattered Quercus ellipsoidalis, Salix humilis. Dominated by Hesperostipa spartea, Koeleria macrantha, Euphorbia corollata, Prunus virginiana.; Sand.
Associated Species: Rubus sp., Phlox pilosa, Lithospermum caroliniense, Lupinus perennis, Artemisia ludoviciana.
