Habitat: Locally common in areas of sandy oak/jack-pine barrens. Lower to mid north-facing slope dominated by prairie grasses.; Sand.
Associated Species: Lupinus perennis, Rosa sp., Rhus sp., Koeleria macrantha, Hesperostipa spartea, Polygonatum biflorum, Carex pensylvanica.
