Habitat: Scattered, occasional (probably more common than what was detected) in sand barrens on south-facing slope dominated by prairie grasses and grub oaks (primarily Quercus ellipsoidalis).; Sand.
Associated Species: Schizachyrium scoparium, Lupinus perennis, Lespedeza capitata, Carex pensylvanica, Carex siccata, Symphyotrichum sp., Maianthemum stellatum, Helianthus sp.
