Habitat: Occasional in brushier area of sandy, oak-jack pine barrens dominated by Prunus virginiana, Corylus americana, Quercus ellipsoidalis, Vaccinium angustifolium. Gentle north-facing slope.; Sand.
Associated Species: Quercus macrocarpa, Quercus ellipsoidalis, Prunus virginiana, Lupinus perennis, Ranunculus rhomboideus, Carex pensylvanica, Amelanchier interior, Amelanchier spicata.
